King’s is set in approximately 9 acres and enviably located in the heart of Cambridge, minutes away from King’s College Chapel. We are fortunate enough to have our sporting facilities on site including athletics fields, cricket and rugby pitches, astro-courts for hockey, full size tennis, netball and squash courts and an outdoor heated swimming pool (open during the Easter term). All pupils from Reception to Year 8 have access to all our sports facilities and enjoy the freedom of being able to make good use of the generous outdoor space. Given our city centre location, pupils can also take advantage of all that Cambridge has to offer including museum trips, exhibitions, and the wonderful historical architecture. With unique access to King’s College Chapel, pupils also celebrate the start and end of each term with a service in the Chapel to which parents are welcome to join.
King’s also has excellent facilities for music. The Music Department is home to four well equipped music classrooms in addition to 16 individual teaching /practice rooms. Our large Assembly Hall is also here where we host various plays, concerts and talks throughout the year.
Sports and Cultural Centre
In 2019 we opened a state-of-the-art 8500sq ft Sports and Cultural Centre, featuring a dance studio and a 4-badminton-court size multi-sports hall which doubles as an auditorium with retractable tiered seating. Children are able to play netball, basketball and cricket using the retractable nets all within the main Sports Hall. The younger pupils also enjoy our recently designed ‘Adventure Playground’ during break times and before school.
