Last week Year 5 had an inspirational, educational day at the Stained-Glass Museum in Ely. Jacob took on the role of Theophilus the monk, dressing up and helping to tell the story of how medieval stained glass was made; a fascinating process!
Once we’d climbed the spiral staircase, we were met with the glowing colours and beautiful windows within the museum’s collection. The children made their own pieces of stained glass, which are being fired in the kiln and enjoyed activities creating heraldry shields and exploring the collection through a stained glass portrait trail.
A wonderful day of discovery and exploration was had by all!
