There was a wonderful sense of energy and collaboration in the air as Year 5 pupils welcomed their parents into school for the annual Design & Technology Challenge Evening.
The event offered families a valuable opportunity to work together on a hands-on creative task, with pupils and parents combining their ideas, skills and problem-solving abilities to tackle the challenge set by the DT department. The evening was filled with enthusiasm, ingenuity and plenty of imaginative thinking, as teams experimented, refined their designs and brought their concepts to life.
It was particularly rewarding to see pupils take the lead in guiding their parents through the design process, confidently explaining their thinking and sharing the techniques they have been developing in their lessons. Events such as this highlight the importance of hands-on learning and the joy that comes from working together creatively. We are grateful to all the parents who joined us and to the staff who organised such an engaging and memorable event.
