We were delighted to welcome Dr Wayne Marshall, concert pianist, organist and conductor to demonstrate our new Steinway Model D Spirio Grand Piano on Tuesday 22 October.
Throughout the afternoon every pupil in the School attended one of three short concerts where Dr Marshall played improvisations based on themes that the children had selected.
The pupils were also able to see a demonstration of the Spirio player system which allows our piano to be played remotely by another Steinway Spirio piano, and for our piano to remotely play a piano in another location. This will enable our pupils to participate in masterclasses around the world and attend live concerts from other venues without needing to leave Cambridge.
