Schola Cantorum Sussex Tour
On Friday 25 April the Schola Cantorum travelled to Sussex where they joined with the choir of Lancing College to sing Choral Evensong in their magnificent Chapel. Noble’s setting of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in B minor and Wesley’s rousing Easter anthem ‘Blessed be the God and Father’ sounded superb. As well as making music, the girls enjoyed wonderful hospitality and tours of the College.
We spent the evening in a hotel in Worth and after a good breakfast departed for a rehearsal followed by a concert in the beautiful Saxon church of St Nicholas in Worth. The girls are to be congratulated on all they achieved over the weekend and thanked for being such wonderful ambassadors for King’s.
