CRACK! STOMP! ROAR!
What’s that, you ask? Why, it’s a dinosaur!
The children of Reception were treated to a meeting with not one, not two, but three dinosaurs last week! James, Dan and Josh, our human helpers, helped keep us safe even when the dinosaurs were feeling cheeky. We bravely pet the dinosaurs and learned about their bodies and behaviours, but the fun didn’t stop there.
We also got to dig for fossils, gently using brushes so that we could protect these precious finds. The stegosaurus tail spike, flattened egg and preserved dinosaur skulls may have stolen the show, but some of us were especially taken with the smallest fossils which included starfish and insects.
All in all, it was an inspiring day that we probably won’t forget in a hurry!
