The History Holiday to Normandy in the first week of the Summer holiday was a hugely successful venture. Covering some one thousand years of French history, children and staff alike were treated to vivid descriptions of battles and immersion in the ancient and modern culture of this vibrant part of Europe. Personal highlights were the Bayeux Tapestry and the wonderful museum at Arromanches. Planning is now afoot for the next History Holiday…to Scotland.
