With the lights and cameras still warm from the recording of Carols from King’s for the BBC at the end of last term, the Choir departed School early on Saturday morning heading for Estonia. Five days, including two travel days, meant that the Choir was Santa-like in spreading Cambridge Christmas cheer in Tallinn, Tärtu and Pärnu over three consecutive nights. It was clear that the Estonian audiences greatly appreciated the Choir bringing the story of Advent to Christmas to their churches and concert halls. We managed to fit in two trips to the beach (somewhat different temperatures to our last beach visit in Palm Beach, Florida!) and spending some well-earned spending money in the Estonian shops. We were very glad to be welcomed so warmly by everyone we met and we hope to tour the country again in the future, and to visit more of the sights.
