Due to the lockdown, we are sadly unable to welcome prospective parents and pupils for tours of the school in term time, but are offering visits on Monday 14, Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 December. We hope that there will be further dates in January. If you would like to arrange a zoom call, perhaps from the area of the school your child will be joining, we are happy to arrange one. This will enable families to ask questions, look at the sample work displayed, and get a feel for the environment and ethos.
The main entry points are Reception (aged 4), Year 3 (aged 7), Year 4 (aged 8, for Chorister Probationers) and Year 7 (aged 11, particularly for those applying to Senior Schools with a requirement for Common Entrance). We also have availability for pupils to join other year groups, including mid-year.
To register your child, please complete the registration form and send it to the school office. Please send a cheque (made payable to “King’s College School”) or make a bank transfer (details within the form) for the registration fee to the school.
Pupils registered to join Reception will be invited for a 40 minute group assessment with members of the Pre-Prep teaching staff.
We are now inviting registrations for pupils to join Reception in September 2021, 2022 and 2023. Assessments for entry in September 2021 have been adjusted this year and will take place during the Michaelmas Term 2020.
A small number of places for entry to the current Reception cohort are available.
Entry to other years
Once a pupil is registered, they will be invited to attend an assessment morning, which includes a tour of the school with pupils of their own age and a break with their year group. We are currently able to offer remote-assessments, due to the Covid-19 situation.
