Year 6 Team Building Day at Milton Country Park
Year 6 pupils enjoyed an adventure-filled day out a Milton Country Park last week accompanied by the Year 6 teaching staff. Pupils were taught a variety of new skills, demonstrating high levels of concentration, perseverance and enjoyment in a carousel of five activities. These included map-reading, fire-lighting, first-aid (which included learning how to create a sling), group problem solving and carving.
All the activities were focused on collaboration and working together which the pupils did brilliantly. For the afternoon session, pupils took part in an orienteering activity that challenged them to apply their learning from earlier in the day.
Well done Year 6 on bringing so much energy and team-work towards making the day a huge success. A great way to kick off the year!
