On Thursday 2nd March King’s was ablaze with colours, characters, outfits and accessories as pupils celebrated the 25th Anniversary of World Book Day. The theme this year was “You are a reader”.

Each year group was asked to explore a theme and dress up in that style. Our themes included Nursery Rhymes, Little Miss and Mr Men, David Walliams, Historical Fiction, Gothic Fiction and Science Fiction.

The children and staff didn’t disappoint….classrooms and playgrounds were full of bright colours, creative costumes and engineering masterpieces!

As part of the celebration, and to encourage and help pupils on their reading journey, every pupil will receive a £1 book token which can be exchanged for one free World Book Day 2023 book or £1 off a book costing £2.99 or more. You can find out more information about this on the token given or the World Book Day website here: www.worldbookday.com

Thank you to everyone who contributed to make this such a fun and exciting day.
