The U11 A Rugby Team has enjoyed a very impressive season, marked by substantial strides in both teamwork and individual prowess. Their standout victories against formidable opponents, including Dame Bradbury’s, St. Faith’s, and The Perse Prep, underscore the tangible progress they’ve made.
What distinguishes this team is their ability to seamlessly blend teamwork with individual brilliance. The season witnessed a marked improvement in their collective play, evident in their dynamic attacking strategies that reflect a deep understanding of each player’s strengths and styles. It’s been great to witness superb individual opportunistic tries such as those scored by Josh, Lawrence and Alfie and powerful tackle-breaking tries like those regularly scored by Mir, Seth, and Han. However, the best tries have been those that have involved the whole team over multiple phases incorporating clever inter-linking passing and movement as well exceptional rucking.
The scoreboard successes aside, the camaraderie among team members has been a highlight. This growing bond has undoubtedly contributed to their success. Looking ahead, there’s a palpable sense of optimism as the team continues to gel together.
