Senior Sports Day

The weather held out for a successful senior sports day on Wednesday the 7th July, as Years 5 & 6 were involved in an exciting and action packed morning of track and field which was mirrored by the &ear 7 and 8’s in the afternoon. The split day allowed many parents to attend the event for which we are very grateful and added to great atmosphere that filled the stadium. The Year 5/6 event was won by West on 677 points followed by Queens, Burrells and then West. The Year 7/8 event was taken out by Queens on 734 points followed by West, Grange and Burrells respectively. The over all winners of the senior sports day event were Queens followed by West, Grange and Burrells.

Pre-Prep and Junior Sports Days

The Pre Prep and Junior sports day were a great success and for the first time in over a year, we welcomed parents to watch their children in action – and they were not disappointed! Spectators enjoyed a full programme of running, relays, jumps and throws which took place over two action packed afternoons. A huge thank you to Mr Barker and Mr Rice for organising the Pre-Prep day and to Miss Pinner and Miss Taylor-Gray for the Junior Sports day. Both Sports days were won by Burrells on this occasion.

Swimming Galas

We were lucky enough to hold the Year 3 to Year 6 swimming galas on Friday 2nd July where a great programme of individual swimming races and relays took place – the cheers could be heard all over the school!. Year 3 event was won by West, Year 4 by Burrells with Grange taking out the Year 5’s and West the Year 6. The overall winners of the 2021 swimming gala were West. A big thank you to Miss Taylor-Gray for organising the event and the PE department for getting the children ready for the big day in swimming lessons.
