On Wednesday 16 March, the sixteen girls of the Schola Cantorum travelled to Chelmsford Cathedral to sing Choral Evensong. This was the first engagement that they have undertaken outside of Cambridge, and the first time that they have sung Choral Evensong. Directed by Mr Randle, and accompanied on the organ by Mr Davy (Organist of Chelmsford Cathedral), the girls gave an excellent account of themselves singing music by George Dyson, Edward Bairstow, and Charles Stanford. They were a great credit to the School and we thank them for their hard work in preparing for the service.
We are delighted to be able to share a selection of photographs from the pre-service rehearsal.
