Remembrance Day 11th November 2022
Children, Staff and Parents joined together this morning to mark the 11th November 2022 Remembrance Service.
As part of their DT project this term, pupils in Years 6 to 8 have been creating Remembrance Poppy’s which have been displayed all week on the Briggs Lawn. Each of the windmill Poppy’s carry a handwritten note dedicated to those who gave their lives or were injured in a past conflict.
As the whole school gathered on Front Pitch, we listened to a selection of readings, prayers, songs and ensembles. It was very special to hear King’s brass, the school choir and the bagpipes and chanters play during the Service.
Thank you to all those who contributed to a very special morning of commemoration at such an important time of reflection.
