What a wonderful morning our Reception children had on their visit to King’s College Chapel on Mondau! We were warmly welcomed by the Chaplain, Dr Jonathan Kimber, who gave us a special, bespoke tour. We learnt so much about the Chapel’s fascinating history—did you know it’s the largest chapel in the world and took over 400 years to complete?
One of our favourite moments was lying on the floor to gaze up at the breathtaking vaulted ceiling—ask us what we thought when we get home! We also had fun completing a ‘Chapel Challenge’, where we explored and searched for some of the Chapel’s most interesting features, including the colourful stained-glass windows, the grand organ, and the Fleur De Lys.
A huge thank you to our super helpers, Mrs Parnham and Miss Cubitt, for keeping us safe and smiling all morning. A truly magical experience; we are so lucky to attend this school.
