We were delighted to welcome the team from Perform to King’s at the beginning of term, giving all of our Pre-Prep children the opportunity to take part in a Drama4ALL Toyshop workshop. Through imaginative storytelling, movement and role-play, the children were transported into Mrs Tuppence’s magical toyshop, where they worked together to bring the toys to life and help save the shop from Peyton Pixel. The session was carefully structured and led by a professionally trained facilitator, ensuring that every child was able to participate with confidence and enthusiasm.
At King’s, we are passionate about drama and the wider expressive arts, recognising the valuable role they play in supporting children’s learning and development. Our Pre-Prep children also enjoy Expressive Arts as part of our Pre-Prep Cresco enrichment programme, and drama is thoughtfully woven into our curriculum planning to support children’s understanding of their topic learning. By stepping into role and exploring ideas through drama, children are able to deepen their understanding, make meaningful connections and bring their learning to life in an engaging and memorable way.
We are very grateful to Perform for bringing such an imaginative and joyful experience to our Pre-Prep children and for starting the term with such creativity and energy!
