In an action packed week, Year 8 managed to fit in a fantastically invigorating morning participating in a disability/wheelchair awareness workshop in school. The session even involved dance and sports as they learnt how skilled you need to be to manouevre yourself in and out of moving people and tight spaces. Staff also had a go: Mr Coe Hales showed his competitive side at basketball! This workshop was provided by “Go Kids Go”, the leading provider of free wheelchair skills training for children in the UK. Go Kids Go have been running training since 1990; enabling independence and helping to ensure that the young people are able to reach their full potential. Many thanks to Mrs Harrison for organising such a wonderful and inspiring event. Go Kids Go relies on donations to help them continue to provide their vital help and support. www.go-kids-go.org.uk
