King's College School is famous for educating the choristers and probationers of King's College, however as well as this the school runs a comprehensive programme of choirs and vocal ensembles for the non-choristers. Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 have a choir rehearsal each week and all year groups perform regularly in school concerts and drama productions.
The new King's Junior Singers is an auditioned choir for Year 3 and 4 and is due to start rehearsing in Jan 2017. Year 5 and Year 6 also have their own Year Choirs and boys from Years 7 and 8 are eligible to join Cambiata (a changing voice choir).
The school also has two auditioned choirs; King’s Singers (a boys’ choir) and King’s Chamber Choir (a girls’ choir) for pupils in Years 5 - 8 which presently number around 70 children in total. These auditioned choirs sing for a number of services each term in King's College Chapel, as well as performing in showcase concerts, choir tours, carol concerts including singing at the Ritz Hotel, London.
