Year 5 to Year 6
Year 5 and 6 pupils take part in up to two lessons per week. Pupils continue to work on selected topics, including rites of passage in world faiths, rituals and celebrations, food and faith, faith in Art, faith in action, and a personal journey project, towards the end of the year. Pupils enjoy the occasional 'quick tests', as well as the more formal assessments.
Year 6 pupils follow a programme modified from the Independent Schools Examination Board Common Entrance Religious Studies Syllabus A – World Religions, which brings together and develops prior learning, knowledge, understanding and skills through a comprehensive and close study of two or three major world faiths, including one of the Abrahamic faiths and one Eastern faith. Year 6 pupils enjoy utilising our ICT facilities to support their project research.
