Welcome to our modern languages department, where teaching is provided by foreign-language native speakers.  More now than ever, the world is perceived through the filter of the English language.  Studying foreign languages accesses alternative perspectives.

Studying non-English languages enriches our understanding of the structure of English and so enhances communication abilities.
