Chamber Music at King's
Chamber Music is one of the great strengths of the music department. Our aim is to allow as many pupils as possible to enjoy the musical and social benefits of playing or singing regularly in a small group, and to this end the school runs between 30 and 40 groups each week. At present this includes more than a dozen string/wind/brass quartets, six small singing groups (one for each of Years 3-8), and single-instrument groups for flute (3), oboe, saxophone, clarinet (5), trumpet (2) , trombone, violin (2), cello (4), recorder (3) and guitar.
Two Chamber Music mornings are held in late January, to monitor progress and to choose performers for concerts later in the year.
