Physical Education

What is it about:

  • being a fun and positive experience for all children
  • encouraging children to build good working relationships in all areas of the physical education curriculum and beyond
  • increasing children's understanding of the effect exercise has on their bodies
  • feeling their contribution is valued

It is also about:

  • children participating and developing their own level of expertise in a wide range of physical activities
  • enabling children to apply and adapt a wide range of skills
  • developing individual personal and social skills and to manage success and failure in competitive and co-operative situations

We have fun! Girls and Boys enjoy the oppurtunities given to them in Gymnastics, Dance, Orienteering, Athletics and Swimming. Orienteering is new and our grounds have just been professionally mapped, so we can look forward to some exciting trails to follow. We enter the Bristish Schools Championships and the East Anglian Schools Championships.  Our swimming pool is outdoors and heated and full use is made of it right through the summer term. We have friendly swimming meets with local schools and everyone participates in the house swimming gala at the end of term - you don't need to be a champion swimmer - there's something for everyone!
