Geography is taught in each form and most topics are presented in a cross-curricular way. The children develop knowledge of their local environment through walks, visits and following routes. Their knowledge of the wider world develops through the study of specific regions with contrasting characteristics. Children have a lively desire to know more about their world. The enhance lessons through their own experience of travel and new environments. Many already have developing opinions about pollution and deforestation and all are encouraged to use atlases, globes and simple maps.
