Programme of Study
 Programmes of study are designed for each year group to provide a wide, yet balanced range of different artistic experiences in the practices already described, and bearing in mind the requirements of the National Curriculum.
We feel strongly that given the creative nature of the subject there should be room for flexibility within each project and therefore lessons may deviate from a described programme of study if this seems appropriate for the group of children involved. We find it effective to use the first lessons of the year to assess the capabilities of groups and individuals, and to revise and alter our yearly plans in order to make the art lessons as profitable as possible for the children. Programmes of study are updated and changed on a termly basis in order to give as much variety of experience as possible at each level.
