Olympic bronze medallist and two times world champion rower, Sarah Winckless, gave an inspirational talk to Y4. As well as describing how she came to be a rower she gave a fascinating insight into life as an Olympian. The children (and staff) were utterly captivated by her and she left us with some very important 'life messages' about the importance of hard work and dedication and about how important it is not to give up on your dreams. The children also had a chance to wear her Olympic and world championship medals as well as her tracksuits from her time in Team GB. Many, many thanks to Sarah for giving up her time to talk to us and to Miss Cochrane for organising her visit. (Click to enlarge)
